I thoroughly tested the device using a combination of different 50/50 and 60/40 VG/PG e-liquids, incorporating both freebase nicotine and nicotine salt e-liquids. 0.6Ohm XLIM Top Fill Cartridge: RDL Powerhouse

This pod is officially rated for 20-25W, but in my experience, it performed even better when pushed slightly higher. I actually preferred to use it in the 25-27W range, where it truly came alive. Without a doubt, this is a pod built for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping, providing a noticeably warmer and airier vape than its 0.8ohm counterpart. The flavour delivery here was phenomenal. It effortlessly extracted the best from some of my more complex dessert and tobacco blends, revealing subtle notes I hadn't even noticed with other devices. The quality of flavour production from this OXVA pod is easily on par with the very best pods I’ve tried.

0.8Ohm XLIM Top Fill Cartridge: MTL Perfection

OXVA rates this pod for use at a lower wattage of 12-16W, and I found that this pod was definitely better suited to classic mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping. I primarily used this with my 20mg nicotine salt e-liquids, and I got absolutely great results. My personal wattage sweet spot for this pod was 15W, with the airflow closed down to a tight, satisfying, disposable-like MTL inhale. This setup delivered a perfect blend of smooth, clear flavour without any harsh throat hit whatsoever ,  ideal for those transitioning away from disposable vapes.

Battery Life: Beyond Expectations

The OXVA XLIM SQ Pro 2 goes above and beyond in battery life. On an average day of heavy vaping with the 0.6ohm pod at 25-27W, I constantly got close to a day and a half from a full charge. I even took it to work for a 12.5-hour shift and came home with an astonishing 76% battery life still remaining ,  I'm utterly confident it could power me through another shift! When using the more economical 0.8ohm pod at a lower 15W, the battery life extends even further, pushing close to three full days. While I didn't hit the advertised seven days (I do vape heavily!) lighter vapers or those using eco mode could certainly get close.

The Verdict:

In all honesty, this device has earned its place in my top three pod vapes of the year ,  and that’s no small claim. Would I invest in replacement XLIM Top Fill Cartridges? Already have.
